I'm actually more tired of "quiver killer" in marketing

I think if you’re going to needlessly complain about language we all use the best course of action would be to offer an alternative. Otherwise you are just whining about a word you can ignore? Maybe I’m biased because I’ve skied/surfed since I was young and the usage seems natural to me.
If you want to talk about stupid things the English language does, like borrowing terms and changing their meaning ... which ultimately makes clear communication incredibly difficult without nuance ... sign me up.

I swear metolius saw this thread and is already poking fun... saw an ad about “looking to add another (crash)pad to the quiver?”

I bring a couple of blunts for grouse and they hit to the same point at 40 yards as the field points and muzzys ( not to be confused with mussys). But I don’t carry them in a quiver.

This (Though I'm an Olympic Recurve FITA archer myself), I spent a hell of a lot of time dialing in those arrows to be exactly the same. So yeah. (Well I guess I keep odds and ends like arm guard, tape, finger tab and tools in the pocket of my quiver, but it's still a dumb expression)

Who uses the word quiver for anything related to climbing? Skis, surfboards, bikes, kayaks...yes.

Perhaps the term for ropes should be ‘harem’. But no way should it be ‘posse’.

“I’ve got the whole harem with me.”
I’ll admit it flows off the tongue.
And
A little bit of rape culture never hurt anyone.
Right?

Lots of different ropes and shoes for different occasions.
Heck, now there are even enough different hand jammies to bring glove quiver into the lexicon.
Bouquet? Bundle? Party? Gaggle? Murder?
I for one, think a gaggle of shoes sounds totally perfect!
