I don't think he actually got access to the forum. If you do a search, the results include hits from ALL forums, not just those you have access to. (And those search results include a snippet from the forum post that contained your search phrase.) If you click on a result from the private forum, you'll get a "404, off-route" page. In his case, he was seaching for his own name, and was able to see part of a comment about him.

Ahh. That's soooo funny that moderators have us tagged like they're the fkn NSA or some shit. This post will probably get deleted.

Could the new Rocrates be a reincarnation of the old Tradiban? Is this very post itself just a cleverly disguised troll??? Could this possibly be???

This is a pretty good troll.
The ultimate troll prize would of course be some biners with micro-cracks.
If those exist.

where'd you get a lock of tradiban's hair?

I heard Tradiban had to leave MP cuz he moved to Florida.  The Bucs signed him to flesh out the dream team of all time greats with Brady and Gronk.   Should be interesting.

I don't need your prizes... I buy my gear off ebay. If 30 year old seat belts are good enough, so is a rope manufactured in 1997. Anyway, I still hammer pins and carry a 357 to the crag. I'm only a 5.9 climber and used to know Ron Anderson. Mainstream climbing is so0o millenial. You people need more Rush Limbaugh.

He discovered a glitch in the search function that allowed him to see some content from the private admin forums. There was a thread there that discussed him specifically as a troll, and apparently he's referred to as the "reference troll" when determining whether to consider any given MP user a troll. One of the admins expressed some very strong opinions about Tradiban's behavior. Tradiban started a thread ( Tradiban IS the Bench Mark! (And don't you ever forget it!) ) referring to himself as the Bench Mark of all trolls, and the OP in that thread was deleted soon after.

A day or so later, Tradiban contacted Nick Wilder and asked for his account to be deactivated, so that he could "go out on top". He was never heard from again. (At least, not on MP under his original pseudonym. The Tradiban hotline is still active, I'm told.)

That's pretty f'ing funny...

Well played...

COVID-19 gave him a severe case of hemorrhoids, the itch was so bad that he couldn’t spend 8+ hours a day on the Proj trolling.

Tradiban unfortunately came down with an acute case of alopecia.  Rather than waste his hair he decided to donate it to a noble cause.

Sounds like an excellent way to reuse manscaping trimmings.

Rocrates speaks (writes) with a lot of familiarity for someone who just signed up, I find that somewhat suspicious.

How does one access the Tradiban hotline, just out of curiosity?

You can just search the forums for "Tradiban hotline". He's listed it dozens of times in various posts over the years. To save you the trouble:

951-527-7959

That's allegedly his actual cell phone number, though I've never called it.

I've noticed the MP community has been a lot better lately, maybe we just shouldn't get back into having tons of trolls around.

This contest is meant to incentivize high-quality trolling, which is humorous and entertaining.

This looks so much like a tradifool sentence construct.

He must get a lot of spam calls, throwing his number around online.

I mean really.  Was there even a question of who Rocrates is?
