Seen here using the rare "Suburban hitch" on fractured Arizona sandstone.

I rapped off a slung manzanita bush when I ran out of rope solo leading.

What's wrong with the truck? I might add a whee chock, but otherwise it's stronger than most anchors.

A friend of mine would probably add my crotch to this list (although I would disagree)

Belayed bracing off a tree with a single #4 RP backing it up after running out of all my gear on pitch 3 of a multipitch.

Why didn't you belay directly off the tree?

I belayed on a 1.5" diameter tree sticking out of a crack after a 60' run out.  Didn't bring any gear as I thought the pitch was all clips.  Followers had to onsight 5.9+.  Oh and it was a hot day.

I think it was Matt Samet who pulled his dad’s Oldsmobile over the cliff edge at Cochitti Mesa.

Looks like standard yos business.

I taught a friend to climb. Then he taught a friend to climb. I followed the second friend up a multi-pitch and I thought of it as a free solo. I checked this friends anchor at the top. 1 cams was tipped out and came out with a hard yank. The other 2 cams were behind a loose block and also cam out with a hard yank. He was wide eyed. I wasn't bothered because the placements on the way up were mostly good so there were solid pieces in until I got to the top. The top was low angle and easy so I wouldn't have fallen one I was on the anchor by itself, and as mentioned I treated it as a free solo.

I’ve seen a few, not very good, anchors on that ledge.
