I sure as hell need it.  MP was getting painfully boring.

Pretty funny. Even for admins, Santa knows when you’ve been bad or good.  ;)

Honestly, that same topic would produce the same replies in the general forum.

Maybe we all just have a ton in common.

Yeah...So this is how computer programs (forums included) typically get made now days:

  • Some people write some code in some programming language, it's a common misconception to think people know the programming language they're writing in. This isn't a requirement of modern software development
  • The code is broken in 100 different ways and it doesn't work at all. (Some people turned this into a religion, known as "test driven development"
  • They fix 10 of the ways it was broken, now it "passes all unit tests". A unit test is sort of like testing a single brick, then declaring the jinga tower of bricks you just assembled to be structurally sound
  • They release it, and move onto writing the next broken thing
  • Over the years, the 90 remaining different ways it was broken will slowly come to light

Now contrary to expectations the goal in writing software isn't to write software, but rather to get an imagined entity called a "ticket" to the "done" column on an imaginary whiteboard. The software you write isn't actually important to your career, it's all about how many tickets you move to the done column. By the time anyone finds out that your ticket marked done is actually a pile of horse shit, you've been promoted or moved to a higher paying role.

(The story of how you got all your tickets to the done column is all that's important for promotion/hiring, no one will ask "yes but how well did it work?" - that question isn't needed as it implicitly was a pile of shit, but your new boss being a "culture fit" will engage in a disconnected to reality sort of optimism where he think's the thing his team is writing now is special, and won't be a pile of shit.)

There's lots of variations in how all this plays out in practice, for instance some teams engage in a software perversion known as "two guys one keyboard".

Anyway, all I'm saying is...Private forums aren't.

Lol, just search "Tradiban" using the search function. Then use other related keywords to figure out the rest. It's a glitch, anyone can do it! Yes, even you.

It certainly seems like you knowingly “attempted to circumvent content filtering techniques to access a service or area of the site that you’re not authorized to access” but I probably just got my hopes up for no reason. What a bummer.

The only thing more pitiful than doing a google search of yourself, hoping to find something interesting, is to do it on here.  4/10. You can do better than that! ;)

Excellent name. My thoughts quickly evolved to "That dude really must need some hugs", so that may be better.

You should all realize you cannot stop Tradiban, you can only hope to contain him. He speaks truth and has fun doing it. All hail Tradiban!

Somewhere admin’s are wondering if they should ban him or if they’d lose too much visitor traffic. Tradiban isn’t the issue. If you’ve climbed long enough you’ve had that irreverent old school dirtbaggy buddy who ####s with you hard, but when the chips are down guess who’s by your side?

It’s the medium. The medium is the message.

It's all about how someone presents themselves, and I have much less of an issue with how Tradiban conducts themselves on this forum than several other members who troll with the intent of dragging the social element of this forum through the mud.  Difference between inciting thought and inciting hate/negativity.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
