As its relatively close to home I was thinking about a trip to alabama hills. I think its pretty closure proof, but i haven't been in a while. Ate there gates they can shut climbers out with or is it all just open dirt roads?

Coronavirus case and death numbers keep going up. State parks are closing. National Parks are closing. Communities are asking people to stay home. Yet you decide now is a good time to head out to the crags. The rock will still be there in a month or two. Is it really that necessary?

As was stated by others; while technically open, Inyo county would prefer that you not visit Alabama Hills.

That same link references CA Executive Order N-33-20 which tells ALL Californians to stay home. So again, with all that is going on, why would you think now is a great time to hit the crags?

You really need to ask!
