Joshua tree is closing.

Well, when people keep traveling it was bound to happen. Gates are being locked up and campgrounds shutdown, as I type. Please stay home, for now. This too shall pass and the rocks will still be here. 

Where is your proof of this occurring?

tell you what why don't you drive into the park  and when you see all the cones not letting anybody in and then talk to a ranger and they tell you everything is getting shut down then you will have your proof enjoy wasting your gas from Riverside to hear buddy.

I just called (760-367-5500) and the standard recording made no mention of the closure yet...

I called and pressed 0 (standard way to get through to someone). Got a live person. Said person said it's closed.

Yosemite is also closed to visitors, as of 3pm today.  

I got the email like 2 hrs ago saying all reservations are cancelled and the park is closing.

Hey guys.  I just saw it on mountainproject.com.  JT and Yos are closed.

Black Rock Campground in JTree is officially closed due to public safety concerns, effected dates are 3/21- 5/31. I just received my campsite location  closure and full refund email.

I honestly didn’t quite believe it just by the forum post. Called and pressed 0, and they got back to me. They’re waiting on the official language and press release, but it is closed.

I got an email from Recreation.gov yesterday evening that my Jumbo Rocks reservations were cancelled since the campground is closing thru 5/31.
