As if all those survival/defense things are still available. Sorry, but if you aren't prepped already you're fucked. Even background checks for guns are backlogged by the thousands and ammo is all but gone. If you start to look around things are disappearing - for example Amazon is now sold out of all Goal Zero's, Potable Aqua is sold out and on and on. Everyone thinks toilet paper is a problem - wait until people get sick and hungry and we are under marshall law... |

Gumby the White wrote: Read again Gumby, I said mostly. I know several who are desperately looking for places to stay right now and crying about their source of income drying up on social media. If I had enough saved to travel and live out of a van I would do it, it is awesome. The thing is too many scrape together enough to live out of a van and then live like dirt bags to scrape by, all fine and good until you can't find easy temp work and your public land parking is all closed and you have nothing saved to fall back on. In Hawaii we saw the same thing, young kids with heads full of dreams would fly into Oahu on their last dollar and then be homeless and asking for handouts within a month. If you are going to dirtbag then put aside a month or two of wages... I recommend having 5k that is not touched. If you have to get into the dream is over it is time to settle down and figure things out again. |

Especially in times like these climbing outdoors isn't all that it's cracked up to be especially when we should all be practicing social distancing. There are plenty of FFA's to be found in indoors if you just get a little bit creative |

Note this is a mixed route - mostly bolted but the oven takes small gear (mainly small nuts) |

Tim Stichwrote: I strongly recommend you forget about WIFI and instead get a shortwave radio and find some repeaters on mountain tops. Stock up on freeze dried food, get an assault rifle for bagging game and defending your camp and hunker down. Oh, also, stock up on stainless steel bolts to develop some sport crags while the rest of the world goes down the toilet. Once the dust settles, the survivors will want to pull down to get over the memories of a dead and decaying world. And remember, bolting ethics are going to be a thing of the past, so do what thou wilt shall be the extent of the law. You never realized what a joke you are until you see something like this on MP, obviously meant as a joke, and think, 'Jeeze this is describing my set-up to a tee, right down to my stockpiled stainless bolts' |
