RobC2 Cotter wrote:If you are parking at the Pumphouse to climb at Vail a few etiquette suggestions: 1) Try using just one spot for your vehicle to accommodate others parking who arrive after you. 2) Use the bathrooms & don’t urinate in the parking lot or where maintenance crews access the building, there’s a video surveillance. 3) Pull way over to one side so plow and maintenance crews can access the facility. 4) Follow climber signage on the trail system & yield to skiers. And would also add in addition to yielding to skiers, to be very careful not to step in their tracks as well when crossing. It's a very easy thing to avoid so no need to do so.

Climbed Gravity’s rainbow on the weekend- probably the last ascent for a while - much of it was unprotectable/melting out. Just FYI

Climbed Hessie Chimney 1/30/20. Ice is in decently on P1, but above the "crux ledge" couldn't reach a good stick from ledge, you have to make a move or two before you can get a good purchase. P2 ice blob in above crux bulge, short but sweet

Some Clear Creek beta. Coors Lite is in pretty nice, at least the first two pitches (third looked good from the top of the second, we just didn’t go there).
First pitch of Mickey’s Big mouth is in, thicker on the left and pretty beat up on the right. Second pitch is thin and wet, not sure if it will fatten up this season. Also drove up to Silver Plume, the parking lot had a snow berm plowed in front of it so we couldn’t pull in, and the ice looked kinda sun baked, thin, and covered in snow from the frontage road, so we didn’t bother (no photos)

Logan Wienholt wrote: Has anyone been on Martha's or Dream Weaver lately? How are the conditions? Both are typically spring climbs in any given year, but I was up in the Longs cirque last weekend. Dreamweaver looked very bony and Martha's likely just snow covered rock at this point. Significant wind has stripped most snow above treeline. It will take a few big, wet spring storms then the subsequent thaw and freeze for these to come into good condition.
