What are the funniest guidebooks?

Some guidebooks are drier than a camel's asshole during a sandstorm and I hate that.  Some guidebooks are absolutely hilarious and I love that.  What do you think is the funniest guidebook you've ever read?  My favorites so far are Ocean's Eleven by Bob Banks and a Climber's Guide to Joshua Tree National Monument by John Wolfe.

Ragged Mountain Guide (CT) by Ken Nichols is by the far the funniest.

Can't remember which edition I used but it was before 2010.  Aaron huey was the author and he has also done a 3D book in 2015 and then just recently did a new one called swallow the lightning.

2nd the Ten Sleep guide book. Swallow The Lightning is fun to just sit down and flip through. Highly recommended!

Yeah good call, def a good one.  Would be great if Croft ever did another one, maybe "The Decent, The Alright, and The So-So"?

Oh I bet it is!  Forgot to add in my original post that "Stone Crusade" by Sherman is one of my faves too.

Alan Watts has a conversational writing style and provides humorous route descriptions in the Smith Rock guide. Kind of a dry humor but funny nonetheless.

Dome Driver's Manual by Crump, Price, and Harris. Thrilled I was able to get my paws on one thanks to the friends of enchanted rock's reissue.

I'm a fan of the Austin Climbing guidebook by John Hogge. The footnotes are fascinating and enjoyable. It was my first guidebook and I was bummed to find out that not everyone annotates routes with history and funny stories in the same way.

Southern Fried Ice by Crowder has some good laughs. Tough to find it though.

A Better Way To Die: Rock Climber's Guide to Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon

by Tim Toula

"INTRODUCTION: What's worse than being a stowaway with a kamikaze? Allow me to introduce you to the quintessential nightmare of your climbing dreams - the sandstone climbs of Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona, Arizona."

"RECOMMENDED ROUTES: None! (That was easy.) Seriously though, recommending a route here is like handing a bottle of nitro to an epileptic friend."

Very cool, I just looked it up, hard to find it seems but wow the cover looks very creative!  I'm gonna have to ask Todd Gordon if he has a copy I can check out.

Desperate Grace, by Green and Turville

For every pioneer ascent there were ten bush battles and a snake-whack or two, but these tales - tales to make a strong man weep - must wait for another book.

"As you approach Hueco Tanks from the south, your first glimpse of the rocks will be disappointing, unless you're from Stoney Point."
