I've used creatine and enjoyed it a lot. The last cycle I didn't notice any water weight gain (as opposed to the first time I used it years ago and got the 10lb bump). There's some armchair hypotheses that the cell volumizing effect *could* occlude blood flow and lead to a quicker pump. But I didn't feel that way, and instead felt like I could go longer on hard boulders.

I think we're drifting from "pre-workout supplements" to just "supplements", which I think is telling. "Pre-workout" is just marketing - it's just another way to sell you something else you don't need, by creating that need you didn't know you had. Just have a cup of coffee in the morning like the rest of us civilized people. The main advantage of supplements is convenience at a price. That's literally it. Go forth and crush it.

It’s not ‘JUST MARKETING’, there are actually many studies that indicate there are benefits to many products. Im too lazy to cite them here but feel free to use the google. I get so sick of hearing the old man, get off my lawn, don’t try anything new bullshit. Especially without any sort of logical reasoning to back up your ego driven useless response.

"You're wrong but I'm not going to provide any evidence to the contrary or even one example of a product you can look into" followed up with an insult. Nice.
There's definitely a useless ego-driven response in this thread, but it's not the one you quoted.
Creatine is effective and well studied but it gives me a weird flash pump when I climb while taking it. Anyone else have this issue?

Dude lay off the pre-workout.

Lion's Mane and Cordycep mushrooms have done wonders for me prior to climbing.
Also if you are comfortable with this sort of thing, 1-3 micrograms LSD (1-3% of a standard dose) early morning before a session. More of a getting into the flow thing than a strength enhancer. I would never do this one before first making sure my partner was 100% comfortable.

I had a nutritionist create a meal plan for me when I was in a training cycle. Here are some of the pre workout snacks he recommended to eat 30-60min before: Banana + tbsp of nut butter handful berries + 7oz fat free greek yogurt 1-2 rice cakes and cottage cheese Banana + half scope of protein powder

I have tried the cordycep mushrooms, they do seem to help, esp for cardio.
I also like the pre/workout snack ideas, I will have to try those.
How do you go about micro-dosing LSD ?

How do you go about micro-dosing LSD ? I put one drop of liquid LSD into 100 ml of distilled water. Then I use a dropper with 1 ml increments to measure my dose. so 1 ml equals 1% of a standard dose. Typically about 3 ml is a good amount where you don't notice much but get subconscious benefit of it being much easier to enter a state of flow. And yes, the cordyceps are great for oxygen/blood flow. I've heard it referred to as feeling like you have an extra gear. The Lion's Mane keeps me sharp during long days.
A gram of Turmeric and 2 grams fish oil in the morning keeps my joints feeling looser for climbing that day too.

I take fish oil and an anti inflammatory blend with turmeric, definitely helps my joints and my recovery. I wondered if it was placebo effect but I ran out of both recently and without it my body felt like I had been in a car accident after an all day session of climbing outside.

Where can you find EPO? I would think that would be awesome for high altitude climbing/approaches.
I have taken adderall before long strenuous hikes and bike rides, not sure it helps physically but mentally it is hugely helpful for me anyway.
Especially with staying present and positive even in shit conditions for long stretches of time. I have tried Kratom as well, it feels similar to adderall but for some reason it gives me a nasty crash in the days after taking it, therefore I pretty much avoid it.

Cordyceps sounds intriguing. What’s your preferred method of ingesting it? Is that MudWater drink any good?
