Hello all, I am 16 years old, and I used to climb outdoors a couple of weeks a year at summer camp. I have fallen away from the sport, but I would love to get back into trad/sport/and some bouldering. After reading some feeds, I have found that finding a mentor seems to be highly suggested. I was wondering if there is anyone in the Atlanta area or in Georgia that would be willing to help me out. I would love to help out with whatever logistics or anything else that I can. I would mainly just want to gain some ability to climb self sufficiently outdoors. thanks
Ryan, I think the absolute best thing you could do to get where you want to be is to join the Atlanta Climbing Club. That will give you plenty of very friendly mentors who can help you learn how to lead, build anchors, belay, etc. The club also goes on frequent climbing trips and so can introduce you to crags you may have never been to. Here's the website: Atlanta Climbing Club

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I'll be sure to look into that
