I cut all my own firewood. That is an ash tree that blew over in a storm last winter a few days after thanksgiving.  Field was frozen so I drove out there  and cleaned it up.  I burn mostly wood. keep the thermostat @ 50 so it never comes on when I am home. The furnace only runs on weekends when I go up north to climb. Stove is stoked sat morning and the furnace probably doesn't kick on until 9am sunday .   Only using about 25 gallons of heating oil a winter ;)  It's 78f in the cabin right now.  haven't bought firewood in 30 years ..
