Looking at this thread It's not the Christians judging and being an asshole

I suspect it may have something to do with this:

“They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

Ahh, this sounds like my youth already.
My adult position on religion is this:

If I in fact thought Enya was great, and died for our sins...

They're seems to be some large chapters in Southern California and Vegas, but unfortunately none here as of yet.

Hope everyones day is going well!

In my experience, there wasn't much of a chapter in Las Vegas when I lived there (2013-2016). It must have changed. Good luck with starting a chapter!

To all the people who have been caused pain by abusive religion systems I really am sorry. I can only imagine the way authoritarian power structures have abused either you or people you love. I personally have deep pain in my life caused by religiously observant people in the name of their faith, and my pain pales in comparison to what others have gone through. What has been done to you all was undeserved and unjustified.

That being said violence whether physical, emotional, or psychological will only produce more violence. It's odd how many people rightfully critique religion for its violent tendencies, then only desire to repay that violence in kind. The myth of redemptive violence is alive and well. It's the most consistent spiritual/philosophical belief in all of history, and it doesn't matter how atheist or religious you are. If we really desire to have a more peaceful and loving world we must learn to be aware of the violent tendencies within all of us.

This is the problem with religion right here. "We love you for who you are, BUT . . ."

While on the subject,
I find it pretty worrying that your language (english) doesn’t have religion figures-cussing words, cussing a religious figure really helps negotiating a hard passage and is an invaluable underscoring technique when commenting how sandbaggedthe last pitch was

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

I've led a woefully sheltered life.  From googling that verse, looks like I am overdue to watch Pulp Fiction.

Along these lines, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in forming a "Senders for Satan" chapter in Phoenix?

Just looking for some like-minded folks to hang out with!
