I was just over on DogProject and all the doggies there were complaining about how there are too many people at Red Rocks.

Thank you. Some people have a hard time recieving recognition, but not me.

Well happy to give credit where credit is due then. ;)

For the record I am not entirely against using force when necessary. I guess I just can’t imagine throwing down over a dog leash dispute these days, unless dog and owner were asses I suppose. I also wouldn’t bring my dog to Red Rocks for the record as well...

This is exactly the self-entitled attitude I'm referring to. It's not up to you , and it shouldn't be. You go climbing at one of the busiest climbing areas in the country, of course it's a shitshow. Pun intended. You want a nice quiet climbing experience, get off the beaten path. There are plenty of places to climb where you will have complete solitude.

That's exactly what I was alluding to.  More people and a changing dynamic.

That's an interesting Dateline story. Thanks for sharing it.

Hey - don't judge!

These are narcissism support animals. Their owners are obviously suffering.

Yes, point taken: if you want solitude don't go to busy areas. However, does that mean we shouldn't fight to keep some semblance of order and respect for other's outdoor experience at Red Rocks? No, we  should fight to make Red Rocks as good as it can be.

Sure, but, mountain  project isn't activism, it's just pointless complaining.

That's why I climb in SoYo, there's no one there other than you! LoL. I never bring the dog to shit shows like Red Rocks. I also don't whine about how busy places are on Mountain Project and expect the world to change accordingly. That's the point I'm trying to make in this dumpster fire of a thread.

I took a piss at the base of Yaak Crak then some fucking Californifuckers rolled up with their Bichon Frise in a backpack and let that little fucker run around yapping at everyone. Honestly, it wasn't that bad...until he went and pissed right over top of where I had already marked my territory. I ate that little shitbag on a sammich with mayonnaise and pickles, though, so I guess I showed who was alpha that day.

Pickles, I get, but who eats dogs with mayo???  There's something wrong with you, bro.

This is hands down my favorite MP topic. I love these threads so much.

For the record, I hate crag dogs.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
