The OP was specifically asking about gyms, not outdoors.

Did you read what I was responding to?

H’s response seemed pretty straightforward to me.

I have a small lightweight biner for my shoes, I trade my ring for my shoes and clip it to my harness or chalk bag ,  simple system. Works great for me.

Rings fit perfectly on carabiners so grab a small locker and throw the ring on it. Then you can clip it to whatever you want (chalk bag for boulderers maybe?) and you won't have fear of losing it.

OP, this is essentially the same as what to do with that one, vital, can't lose key, indoors or out. When I have a pack, it's clipped in the ZIPPED inner pocket. When I was biking to the gym, my keys were bulky enough to stay in my front pocket, but, you can easily find all sorts of key/wallet holders to also clip to a belt loop.

Another solution is to buy yourself workout or climbing clothes with at least a tiny zip pocket for that one key (ring, in your case). After all, if you're putting the effort in to get to the gym at all, you've "earned" buying a bit of stuff to support a good habit.

I was a bike commuter (no car at all) for five years. I had a basket that detached, so stuff just went in there, and on a shelf in the gym. Obviously, put more effort into it, if you are where theft could be a problem. Front desks are often willing to let a bike basket get parked behind the counter, and that's what I did when it was crowded and hectic, or the regular gym. Keys were in my pocket, still, though.

Best, Helen

Who wears rings? I skydive, climb and do other dumb stuff that requires you to be ring/jewelry free, so I don't ever wear any.

My wedding band resides on the top of this Eau de Parfum bottle on my vanity:

Yes. He was taking OLH to task about her realizing a few pages in that the OP was talking about gyms. That’s when he got condescending about her not reading the OP.

Agreed.

My backpack has a small plastic clip sewn inside one of the pockets... my ring gets clipped to that when I take it off.  Every backpack I own has this feature, that's at least 5 different brands with that clip...

Clip to your bike keys bro.

There are a massive number of bike locks that don't use keys.

I just stopped wearing it. We’re both grownups who know we’re married.

How can I ask about what to do with my wedding ring while climbing without it coming across as a humble brag that I'm, you know, married?

Want to see my Tahiti wedding pics?

Humble, nothing to be humble about.
I'm stunned!
Damn right I want the Government involved. No one else is going to believe me.
Routine can be great.
As I watched the orange glow of the sun rising over the Whites again this morning with a smile on my face
routine can be great!

No worries Tim, you'll find that special person some day that will allow you to buy that special 2.99 silicone ring !

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
