Just noticed that the 2 sets of quick draws I have from black diamond, both freewire, have 2 different rope end carabiners. Anyone else experience this ? One rated to 24kn and the other rated at 22

If i had to guess, its a colour matched assembly mistake. Somebody working nights slipping bi ers intk dogbones grabbed an neutrino mixed in with the hotwires

I dont think they were purchased that way... 3 of the biners have a good amount of wear, the non-matching neutrino is almost new.

Disregard the use. Purchased the 2 draw sets at the same time and that one smaller carabiner just hasn’t seen as much use

Just trying to see if anyone else out there had noticed this miss match before, some of these draws had been cannibalized and turned into alpine draws, hence the uneven wear. No need to be a dick

I think the probability that the gear was mismatched at the BD factory is very low, but it could certainly happen at a counterfeit factory with employees that don't understand what they are assembling. These were purchased directly from Black Diamonds website.
