Dario - will the Spectre have the same sensitivity as the original model? What's changed in the shoe?

Oh my! One of my best partners will be so happy to hear this- she has a foot shape she says acopa fits best. As for me, a few years ago I found a treasure trove of them in my size and my size only (acopa men’s size 4) on clearance, as this entity had held onto them for years after prodiction ceased waiting for a small footed climber to come along, so I snapped up the entire inventory of 20 pairs.

Adam P. wrote: Dario - will the Spectre have the same sensitivity as the original model? What's changed in the shoe? Hi Adam! Yes, the 2020 Spectre will fit and be just as sensitive as the original. The "split-sole" on this model improves fit and performance. The lining, which reduces the long-term stretch of natural leather, makes them more durably precise. They'll still mold to your foot, but won't stretch a half-size or more over time. (If you used to size down, counting on a lot of stretch, you might want to buy them closer to a size you can live with.) We've made other minor changes, some impossible to see, but each one meant to deliver a 2020 model that raises the bar set by the original. We've kept the essence and the spirit intact and brought it up to date just a bit.
Of course, you'll be the ultimate judge of how accurately we hit the mark.

As you are teasing the 2020 line . . . are you also doing an updated B3 or any highly aggressive bouldering/sport shoe?

The Aztec, Spectre, Merlin, Legend and JB will be available as of January. An updated B-3, along with a brand new super aggressive bouldering/sport model, will be available by summer next year!

Will the sizing of the new Acopa line be the same as the old? Ie if I love my size 10.5 JBs should I get the same size in the new JBs?

Hi Dario, Is there any chance that there would be an unchanged spectre available? I sent my hardest trad lines and bouldering problems with those, while now I am back to a pair of different shoes (miuras, mocs, instincts, tc pros) for different things. Those shoes were great for edging and great for crack climbing, I would argue better than my current TC pros! Will

Although not currently in the works, if you want it, there's a chance... For now, I'm confident that, if you give the 2020 model a shot, you'll find everything you loved about the originals, and then some. And they'll be just as effective for edging and crack climbing as ever!

Very much looking forward to trying on some 2020 Acopas soon--at one of your independent, locally owned retailers.
