I’m looking to buy the tongues of a pair of Sportiva Katana or Miura VS shoes (if you have a different shoe but are interested shoot me a PM). I use them to replace the tongues of my TC Pros to make a much more comfortable shoe (you should try it!). I think I could use any shoe from size 40.0 upwards. Someone out there has to have a pair of shoes that are basically destroyed but have tongues in good shape. Ripping the stitching out will total the shoe but leave a nice pair of tongues. I’ll send you $25, and you can either send the shoes or just the tongues.
(The end result)Jon

Out of curiosity, are you resewing the tongues with a heavy duty cylinder arm sewing machine or are you hand stitching with a speedy stitch?

I brought it into the GearFix, which is my local resoler and I think they used a cylinder arm. Basically you only need to stitch the triangle at the bottom and a small strip on the medial side to stop it from sliding around

Just a thought, I was in the gear fix the other day and they definitely have a whole selection of used and kind of beat up climbing shoes with decent tongues for around the price point you’re looking for. Maybe check in there, I think I saw Miuras when I was there a few weeks ago

I did look recently, maybe a week or so and they were just a little too small. I know people donate shoes to be sold as well that might work but I don’t want to butt into their non profit contributions

Here's what I have (photo). They are from size 43.5 Miura LACE. note that Velcro-closure shoes have, as you mention, that stitching up the side. The lace shoe tongues are only attached at the bottom. I don't know if these will work, but you're welcome to have them for $2 shipping.

There should be a tongue-in-cheek, or tongue-in-shoe pun.
