Anyone who's picked up a pair, report back with how quickly they fell apart. Apparently all new 5.10 shoes have a lifespan of about 4 weeks.

I’ve had my Teams for about 2 months and they barely show any sign of wear at all even though I’ve been bouldering and leading in them 2-3 times a week and It’s pretty phenomenal.  I know that soft rubber supposedly wears quicker but I’m finding the opposite to be the case.

Can’t speak to the grandstones but idk why everyone loves to hate on 5.10 these days. I like how they fit and think they hold up as well as any la Sportiva shoe I’ve ever owned

Because the quality issues are more common than La Sportiva. I've had to send back two pair for QA issues.

I dunno.  I’ve never seen rubber wear through as quickly as on Miuras or Katanas, and people have been complaining about Solution straps breaking for years.  Not to mention that infamous TC Pro rand delamination...

I’ve personally NEVER had issues with Five Ten quality and I’ve owned:
2 pairs of Moccs (including a recent one)
2 pairs of Tans
Pinks
Blancos
HiAngles
Dragons
Blackwings
Teams

I think a lot of it is confirmation bias and distrust of the Adidas merger.

Did they release only up to a 13 or did I already miss the 14/15 stock?

I had more issues with LS shoes than Five Ten. Had a pair of Skwamas break at the strap and another pair rip in the heel cup. My Futuras delaminated almost instantly as well. Since they were an old model LS wouldn’t warranty them. The Skwama took almost a month.

I had some Hiangles delam after a few months. Call them up and have a shipping label. Mentioned to the QC rep that I was thinking of trying the women’s version. He sends me both as a replacement and they were here the next day.

With that said I bought 4 pairs of old Dragons, 4 pairs of Teams, and 4 pairs of Hiangles on sale and that should last me for forever and hopefully by then the new Adidas shoes don’t suck so much.

Anyone having issues with the new Tennies? I had three pairs before they got re-designed and they all delaminated very quickly once i climbed with them. I’m curious since i’ll be getting a new pair of approach shoes soon.

I also have had way more quality problems with Sportiva than FiveTen.

Mtn proj people seem to love to hate on BD and FiveTen.

I sent back two pairs of the Hiangle, because both suffered the same issue with the rand and sole separating from the toe box after a few weeks; like a full delamination.

If you read through the reviews for the Hiangle, Aleon, and the new Dragon Lace/VCS, they all seem to suffer from the same QC issues with the toe box, stitching, and other issues.
The old Blackwing (my favorite shoe) and the old Dragons were both bomber shoes that were indestructible. But, I’ve fully switched to LS after being a diehard 5.10 climber for a decade. I want 5.10 to be amazing again, but have little hope.

Anyone successfully use the AAC promo code for Grandstones?

I got "promo code cannot be applied"

Use last years code.  Someone please test these out ASAP on some trad routes.  I wear mostly Fiveten because they fit my feet but I'm wary about the granstones measuring up to the TC Pros.

That's a good looking shoe.  I might have to give them a go.

Got mine today.  Hands down the most comfortable shoe I have worn out of the box.  They are more down turned than I am used to and the sole is a bit concave and I knew that before I got them, I am sure they will edge great and with time and break in they will start to smedge and smear better.   I usually get a few pair of shoes and have newer for single pitch harder routes and as they break in they turn into my all day shoes.  I’m sure I’ll be doing the same with these.

From the sketchy website? That is a weird early release. Go Adidas! LOL!
