Norman Clyde Peak - Twilight Pillar & Firebird Ridge

Checking in to see if anyone has been up this recently and knows how the glacier at the bottom of the route looks?  Ice ax and crampons needed?  Also for the first route on this peak which route from above is better if we can only do 1 of them. 

Big Pine Creek is closed right now for the Taboose fire.

I was up at Middle Pal recently and an axe was nice but not necessary. 

Thank you Jon, I drove by last weekend and it was just getting going at Taboose, looked bad and was really big.  Thanks for the update.  Guess we are not doing Norman this weekend.   I just checked fire site and it is 100% closed.
