How do they run relative to other LS shoes?  They're on sale all over right now.  I have size 42 Miura's that are reasonably comfortable (in the context of climbing shoes) after breaking in.  Should I go bigger/smaller/same?

yeahyeahyeahyeah I should go to the store and try them on.  Here's the thing:  I ain't got time for that, it takes forever and doesn't really tell me anything because out of the box isn't how they'll feel 3 months later.  So I'm calling the on vast experience and depth of knowledge of MP to save me a little time.  Thank you.

There are many many threads about this. Also, super super downsized (think 3-4 sizes under street) is only comfortable for about 2 pitches, then your eyes will start watering the earth.

I have miuras in 43.5 (fits with thin socks, I could go with 43) and i wear TCs (no socks) in 42

I usually wear a 10.5 street shoe. 44's are all day comfort size. 43.5 are pretty snug after break in. I can wear them for multi-pitch, but they start to become uncomfortable after a 2-3 pitches. I suspect I could get 43's for single pitch, but don't know for sure. They stretch quite a bit.

Interesting, per John's suggestion I was able to find older threads on this (they're tricky to find in between all the FS/WTB posts regarding TCPs) and you're the only one suggesting a material down sizing from Miura size.  Would also note I bought some used Mythos 42, so broken in already, and they were too big; I could feel my heel shifting around, which is a non-starter for me.

Really depends on what you're using them for. If you want to be comfortable for 5-10 pitches without needing to take them off, don't go too small.

Similar to Mark D - I wear street size 10.5 and have two pair. My 43.5s I use for cragging. Size 44s for all day comfort.

I'd say go 1/2 size bigger than your muiras size. I wear 39.5 in muiras and 40 in TC pros. They do not stretch in length.

I find that they are pretty similar lengthwise, so I go a full size up (42) for a flat fit compared to my more snug otaki/solution fit (41).

One more data point for you: I wear a muira xx in a 43.5 with a snug fit-I can do two pitches if I have to but really more like one. TC's 44.5 - they are super comfy until my foot starts to cramp if I forget to take them off for a couple hours on route. Both shoes are fully broken in at this point.

For a few more data points: Nepal Cube, 45; Trango Tech, 45, TX4, 45; TC Pro, 44.5; Kataki, 44.5; Skwama, 44; Evolv Shaman, 12.

The TC Pro and the Kataki both keep my big toe flat and curl the rest of the toes a little bit.  The TC Pros are a great hand crack fit but not precise enough to be great for thin face climbing.  The Kataki is still breaking in but seems like it is the same length but a lot narrower and so it curls my toes more, I have high hopes that it will break in to be a good shoe for finger cracks.  The Skwama fits well for what it is and is nearly the same fit as the Shaman.  The boots and approach shoes are a comfortable but not sloppy fit, I'd consider my street shoe size to be 45 but I'd probably size up a half size from there for running shoes.  Hope this helps.

LS shoe sizes for me: Tx2, Tx3: 42.5; TC Pro: 39(sendy, pop heels out at belays when feasible) & 40 (all day comfy, no need to take them off), Miura (all styles): 39, Kataki: 39.5, Solution: 39, Python: 38.5.

Like others have said it totally depends on what you are gonna be climbing in them.  My sport climbing fit of my muira VS, kataki, and OG muiras is 36.5.  My super tight pair of TC pros is 35.5, which I can only wear for one pitch a day and only use on the hardest pitches I've ever done.  I wear a 36 on more normal hard projects (1-2 letter grades below max), a 36.5 on moderately hard routes (2-4 letters grades below my max redpoint), 37's are my daily driver (1+ number grades below max and longer but harder multi-pitch routes), 37.5 on longer easy romps or alpine climbs ( 3+ grades below max) and 38's on cold weather alpine with thick socks.

5 pairs of TC Pros - Mikey wins :)

I am a 42.5 in the Nepal EVOs and the same size TC Pro is a tad sloppy fitting out of the box. Great for wearing socks or all day comfort, but for a more technical fit I'd size down to a 42/41.5.

I'm a 43 in TX4, 41.5 Otaki, 41 Skwama, 42 TC Pro. One size below street shoes works for me for wearing several hours at a time but still feeling fairly high performance.

I wear a 46 in Sportiva TX3, 44.5 in Muira VS/Otaki and 45 in TC Pro for single pitch and 45.5 TC Pro for all day. I think my 5.10 Pinks for all day slab are 46.5.

I am a size 10 street shoe. I wear 41 katana lace and 41.5 kataki lace. I wear 42.5 air Tommy's. I didn't feel the stretched at all after I bought them. Formed slightly to my foot but it's a good fit for multiple pitches though on the tighter side for 5+ pitches. I'd buy the same size next time

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
