Full quote:
"Truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate; errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them"
--Thomas Jefferson, The Virginia act for establishing religious FREEDOM.

Here’s a better quote that’s far more on point: “If you're not going to offend somebody you don't need the First Amendment.” Larry Flynt Frankly I’m surprised that anyone bothers to raise issues of race, sex, etc., on this website. It’s almost exclusively a bunch of white bros who mostly think alike. The short answer to the OP is that some guys just have an immature sense of humor and make public something that they probably should’ve kept private. That worked fine when the climbing community was small, local and homogeneous. Now that it’s expanded, this small portion of a formerly small community doesn’t seem so funny.

Ol King George, and the religious state-establishment he was propped up upon, were highly offended by anyone who dared to express, well, any opinion that wasn't sanctified under their dominion. Seems being offended is still a religion.
"ETERNAL HOSTILITY" that'd be a good name for a bolt route up the masonry of the Washington Monument.

Meanwhile Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was sent , by Organized Criminals running the Soviet empire, to the Gulags (also run by organized criminals... Who is Simeon Mogilevich?)... because he wrote a letter to a friend that contained language that was unflattering to organized criminals.
We seeing a pattern here?
THAT is why we have a 1st amendment -- lest organized criminals assume dominion over the lives, beliefs, and freedoms of others.... Without having their ERRORS called out in public.
Pedomonkey Laundromat.... Good name for a bolt route traversing the oval office!

Pedomonkey Laundromat.... Good name for a bolt route traversing the oval office! Typical devolution of such threads. Discussion of crude language and its effect lead to so much butt hurt and comparisons to repressive regimes. Don't worry; they aren't coming for your guns.

Perhaps you don't find such activity to be ERRONEOUS in the context of a lawfully constituted republic?
It must be a conundrum for libtards that Donaldo the Maganificent so succinctly personifies the successful strategic demoralization of American culture.

Tar and feathers. Good name for a route on the pillars of the Supreme Court. You may think this sounds clever, but no one know what the eff you're talking about. Clever sounding drivel is not persuasive argument; its just drivel. Regardless, riff on if it makes you feel better. I'm out.
