Chose the refund.

Anyone know a good online deal for some Dragonflys???

I just now went and cancelled my pending order with Campsaver as well.

I'll have to pay $75 instead of $64 I got with the coupon.

Yup!  Sucks.

I have a #3 and #4 already that I bought Stateside at Rock and Snow but I am still looking for a #1 and a #2.

Cannot find them anywhere online, at least on my German computer search.

Me too.  Where are you getting this beta?  Every time I talk to thane from campsaver via chat he keeps telling me eta is unknown....

Well if campsaver is never going to get them they are 0/2 on fulfilling orders I've placed with them. Not sure why I'd try to order anything else from them

Got mine way back on BackcountryGear, contacted them about a week ago & that was the update

This might not help anyone but if you have friends in EU or U.K... We have all the sizes in stock, but only a few left of each. We ship anywhere, but we don’t do discounts or sale or anything like that and you’ll have to pay shipping (and maybe taxes) if outside U.K.

I waited 3 months to get something from Campsaver that said it was on backorder for "2 weeks out". Pretty weak.

Just online chatted with a Campsaver rep, who said they are still expecting to get the Dragonflys, but eta was late September.  I let my order stand, as my card has not been charged, I'm getting a great price, and I don't need them immediately.

I agree, though, that the experience is frustrating.  On the other hand, I have received a number of other Campsaver orders on time, so maybe this is just a one-off.

I'm trying to purchase a #1 and a #2 from your site but it will not let me select a payment option.

Do you know why?

I’ve just looked. Seems like you have to fill in all info, then click “place order” and THEN the next page will prompt you for your card details.

Site platform and layout are fairly new... a lot of things that could be simplified and more user friendly. I hadn’t actually realised how misleading the payment page is until just now. I’ll bring that up at our next meeting.

Let me know if that works. If not, I’ll put them on hold for you through our internal system. The stock that is left on the website is actually at my store and I’ll be there tomorrow morning.

Brilliant.

Went through this time.

Ordered a #1 and a #2.

Thanks!

Site isn’t set up to show euros or dollars (we’re a small family owned business) so your credit card company will do the conversion. So £1 = $1.25 (?)

Pound is incredibly weak right now, but you’re still paying 20% VAT and I’m not sure if you can claim that back if you haven’t actually entered the country to make the purchase.

So probably about $80usd (#5) plus shipping... depending on what rate you get from your CC company.

I picked up a 1, 2, & 3 from Dick’s Climbing for a very fair price, and they have great service, which I’m always willing to pay a little more for.

You do not have to (and you shouldn't IMO) charge VAT on sales to countries outside of the EU:

The buyer will possibly have to pay US taxes on the import as well, depending on which states they live in. They shouldn't be double taxed.

You’re right. I don’t actually process orders so I forgot that we do take VAT off at point of purchase for online orders.

At least I know we take off the VAT when we ship orders to the Channel Islands so I assume we do it for all orders outside of the EU. But like I said, it’s a relatively small business so very little chance we’d end up in an American Google search. It obviously doesn’t come up much because there isn’t a clear explanation on the site.

Right!

My orders were not charged VAT by your company as they are shipping to my US address.

You're team got it right.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
