I’m curious to see what area has the a bit of everything. I’m sure everyone in Colorado is gonna see this and be like “Is it even any competition” but I would like to hear about it. Brag about your home area. I’ll start.
Mt Shasta area. Multipitch adventures or hardcore 5.13 trad climbing all yours for a short easy 2 hour approach. If your not feeling up to it you could go bouldering at roadside blocks or head up to boulderfields on Mt Shasta. And if you like sport climbing you can climb at Lover’s Leap (not Tahoe). You can head over to Cecilville if 5.13 is too easy for you. And if you want some easy Toprope for beginners you can go to Cantara Loop. Oh and there’s a 14000 foot peak if you’re into mountaineering.
Brag!

Flagstaff AZ has it all. Limestone sport climbing, dacite sport and trad, quartzite mixed routes, old school granite in Prescott, plus all sorts of bouldering (limestone roofs, dacite, sandstone), and sandstone climbing in Sedona and further south in AZ. Close to major destinations like the creek and Vegas. Many crags require a fair bit of hiking, but its well worth it and the crowds are nonexistent.

I’d tell you. But then I’d have to kill you.

Because it’s crowded now but not overrun ...yet

Kittery, ME. Looking for some classic granite trad? Just a short drive to north conway and its numerous ledges and cliffs. Hate the crowds in NoCo? Numerous small crags dot the lakes region of NH. Rather pull hard on bolts? Rumney is just shy of 2 hours. More of a boulderer? Pawtuckaway state park is just 50 minutes away, and the rumney bouldering scene is just another hour past if you're bored of pway boulders. Multipitch? 2 hours to Cannon or pinkam notch for a classic day on pinnacle buttress. It's even better if you're an ice climber. Everything from the crowded roadside crag of Frankenstein cliff, to the long steep snow/ice gullies of mt Webster, and the alpine exposure of the gullies in huntingtons ravine on Mt. Washington. Trips farther afield for some beautiful ice include smugglers notch and lake Willoughby in Vermont. A weekend trip up to Acadia might be just what the family needs while you get your climbing fix on oceanside cliffs while they hike and eat ice cream.

I almost forgot. We have castle lake. Every once on in awhile climbable ice forms. And you can deep water solo during the summer.

Plus lots of canyoneering

Briancon, France / Haut Val Durance.   Within about a 20mile radius you have serious mountaineering peaks, long granite slabs, and cragging on limestone, quartzite, conglomerate, gabbro, and gneiss.   You have sports crag sports routes from 5.4 to (at least) 5.14, you have multi-pitch sport routes with 14 pitches of 5.9 and under, or 8 pitches of 5.12.

This one's going to get me in trouble but here goes anyway:

Red Rocks. It's got it all:

  • Sport climbing, easy and hard, long and short.
  • Trad climbing, easy and hard, long and short.
  • Bouldering
  • Big wall (more or less)

Flame on...

And a 2-3 day wait after any rain.

While I see your point, it also has more climbers than neked hippies at Woodstock,
so my math looks something like  +1 (sport) + 1 (trad) + 1 (bouldering) + 1 (big wall) - 10 (TMF Climbers).

I'd say....it depends. Pretty empty out there right now!

Colorado is hard to beat. If you take a tour along the Front Range from Devil's Head to Estes Park, the rock is different at every crag (and there are many crags). There is even rock variation between crags in the same town.

Nevermind, Colorado is mediocre. Alex Honnold is right, nothing to see here.

Bro have you even climbed at woodson? these are not all just pebbles and your average stone. Also Surf City is Huntington beach.  get your facts straight sheesh.

San Diego has a diverse range of climbing, yes even Ice.

I know it's too easy and a large swath of land that most people love to hate, but California does have everything from alpine to boulders; granite, sandstone, limestone; deserts (yes, plural) to deciduous rain forest; sea cliffs to high elevation objectives. There's also everyone from the brand new gumby tech nerd asshole to the dirtiest of hardcore steal everything you own dirtbag (you decide whether thats a plus or minus...), big walls, medium walls and shorty crags, DWS, roadside and adventure crags; choss, bomber granite, in between and everything on the peripheries.
That all being said, there's nothing like leaving.

Prescott, AZ is home to the most geologically diverse region of rock in the country. At least that's what I've been told.

Can't beat the balcony at Urban Ascent in downtown Boise, before it was demolished. Endless hard crap on the moonboard, vast mileage on the treadwall, and a BIG air flying dyno off the balcony to the ice route or that sweet pink on the big overhang. Last two woulda been bad landings if ya missed, but hey, YGD, amirite? Red and Tucker woulda woofed for help. If they weren't too busy snoozin.

Miss ya. :'-(

: Fontainebleau, Verdon, Ceuse, Chamonix and a gazillion other amazing crags you've never heard of.  Good food too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
