Looking to boulder or maybe even get on some ropes there this weekend. Looking for anything with minimal or easy snow travel. Crest and Crystal crag looks like a no go. Thanks in advance!

spring wall/wavy gravy had snow on the approach and some snow at the base a couple of days ago (7/6/19).  that said, climbing at spring wall was quite nice.

snow on the approach and definitely at the base of crystal crag as of last weekend. looks like it has some ticks according to the route page.

@carla was it difficult to navigate through the snow?

i myself went to way lake to boulder and there was definitely snow on the approach which made it difficult to cross the river. also lots of snow next to the boulders as well

There was a bit of snow near the base of crystal crag but the actual start of the north arête had a patch of dry dirt and no snow on the route of the descent from the south summit. There was a bit of snow on the approach but it didn’t slow us down at all (no post holing). There was a snow bridge on the only creek crossing.

I was up there over the 4th and was blown away by the amount of snow still left around mammoth...it was fun being in the eArThQuAkEs too!

...about that 'bit of snow near the base of crystal crag' - pics below from 7/13/19

roughly the start of 'lagavullin'

from the base of macallan - no need to clip that first bolt

things are a bit better in the center - we found the best place to access/stage right around 'cragganmore'
