243 South closed to Idy

Getting a bit crowded these days now that the Anza shortcut is common knowledge. But at least the only other party I ran into today was quiet, calm, and very accommodating. As was I.

Saw this little guy at the top of the Suicide descent trail a coupla days ago:

Between the highway closures, all the snakes and the Idy snarks, you should definitely head to Holcomb. And tell a friend!

Well, depends on what your definition of 'cold' is. I was up at the north side of Suicide yesterday, and this is what it looked like:

Flower looked a little scrappy, but I solo'ed it anyway in my Dolphin shorts and tank top. Clark would be proud.

Holcomb is supposed to be glorious this weekend, though. I would definitely go there instead. And tell a friend.

I was there in the morning yesterday getting my climb on... Morning was crisp, clear and the rock was sticky, sun or shade. Glad I was able to get outta there before the cold front blew through...

Was that you apogee at the suicide trailhead getting ready for the afternoon session? I said hi to some old fart. I was the youngster in the white f150, if that was in fact you...
