Will be coming up from Virginia the week of 4th of July. I don't have a partner yet and I am still looking. Maybe someone is in the same predicament. Have a full trad rack, 60m rope and decades of experience.

The bugs are going to be baaaaaaaaad by July 4th otherwise I'd consider. If you end up having time to go in the fall PM me.

Been plenty of times 4th of July week and it's not been a problem. May and early June are the worst months. I use bug spray as a preventative measure and usually soak a bandana in deet and let it dry before tying it around my neck.

Hi Eric! I’m usually free on weekends and would love to try some trad in the dacks! I haven’t done much trad yet but I am very eager to learn.. Comfy leading 5.9-10s on sport and attentive on belay... If you still need a partner and are cool with teaching a newbie let me know!!

Patrik, Unfortunately, the Dack is at most a once per year trip for me. Mostly climb at the New River Gorge and various other crags in NC, WV, and VA. However, I think the Dacks is an excellent place to learn the trad craft.

Hey man, looking for a partner myself but mostly for sport. I'm relatively new to climbing and haven't gotten outside yet (this is my first season coming up). However, I'm eager to learn trad and would gladly climb with you if you'd take the time to teach me.

I may be available Wednesday if you’re still looking for a partner,

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
