Rock Creek conditions

Has anyone been up there lately? How are the snow conditions for Gong Show, 4:20 wall, or Patricia Bowl? Thanks in advance.

Gong show wall is good to go. Patricia bowl might need another couple weeks to thaw out. You would need some snowshoes to walk back there right now. I was just up there and there is plenty of snow on the ground as well as ice on the lake still.

Routes were looking good. Snow was just lingering on the ground higher up. I recommend using skis and not your skin in order to get there! :)

climbed at patricia bowl on 6/15.  there's still a bunch of snow up there (most of it after the talus field), but we did not bring/need skis or snowshoes.  climbed on some obscure crag down canyon on 6/16 - no snow in sight but tons of mosquitoes, bring the bug juice...

In past big snow years the creek crossing to The Gong Show has been flooded and pretty difficult to cross. Anyone know how flooded it is right now? Thanks.

Hey BruceB - I was there about a month ago and my shoes got soaked because at times during the approach there wasn't any way to avoid the water. I wouldn't say it was difficult though, so bring a pair of sandals to change into between climbs and a dry pair of socks for the car ride home and you'll be golden.

The creek isn't flooded at all (June 30th), no problem crossing.
