I am a 19 year old climber that has only been climbing for 5 months now. I'm able to climb 5.11 and v6. I have tons of experience in the world of training. Climbing is new to me though, it works different muscles and involves tendon stregnth and technique to finish hard routes/problems. I climb about 6 days a week, some hard days and some easier ones. I haven't been injured yet but I'm looking to become a stronger climber and not just with "muscles" technique as well. Any suggestions on how I might accomplish this goal?
Glad to see you are psyched on climbing, but I would warn you against climbing 6 days a week. Resting is one of the most important things for building muscle and injury prevention, and personally I try to take at least 2 days off from climbing a week. And V6 is really strong for less than a year climbing! If you push it too hard too fast you are likely to get a tendon/pulley injury as those take along time to get stronger unlike muscle. I don't recommend any of Horst's books, but https://www.climbstrong.com/product/logical-progression/ and https://rockclimberstrainingmanual.com/ are the best places to start. -Jake
