I made a price comparison site that updates daily and does price alert emails- hoping its handy for you! https://www.footbeta.com/s/ls_katlac/ |

It's probably the tariffs. the retailers are passing down the import tax down to the customer. |

I have a pair of size 43 futuras which don't care for the fit of anymore. Ready for a resole. 60 shipped |

Stephen C wrote: On Bananafingers it doesn’t blatantly say it, but in fine print and shipping info for 5.10 (and maybe now Sportiva). Oh well, +1 for Scarpa who has no problem supplying me shoes from a UK retailer. |

When you've got so many of the top athletes promoting your product, you can charge what the market will bear. I'll be looking closely at Butora for my next pair--significantly lower prices for what look to be well-made shoes. |

Just wait until the Mexican tariffs go into affect. Better stock up on tequila. Guacamole and avocado toast, forget about it. |

It has nothing to do with Trump. LS is an Italian company and there has not been any change in import duties on French products. There are almost zero consumer goods who are price-neutral over time. I dunno why this is so hard to understand. Judging by a quick search in the Wayback Machine, most LS shoes did not keep pace with inflation for around 5 years and seem to jump up to catch up. Kinda like, I dunno, almost anything. |

We complain about pricing but i can remember paying dearly for my Sportivas in 1990. I picked up a 1995ish Climbing mag. sitting on the coffee table if my Asheville hostel and was reminded that we paid nearly the same price for good shoes 20 plus years ago. I’m amazed I could afford to climb in 1990. |

Got a brand new pair of solutions for $59.83 today, you just have to look. There’s absolutely no reason to pay full price for a climbing shoe ever, unless you’re and idiot and forget to bring shoes on a trip..... |
