Just picked up my first pair. They are solidly snug with a very mild toe knuckle bend. Seem like theyll be perfect for trad/cracks after a mild pack out. Thoughts from experienced users?

THE TCP Pro is our best selling shoe and, by some reports, is the best selling shoe in the USA. The TCP will get more comfortable and customize itself to the shape of your foot but it won’t get any longer.
Enjoy those puppies! Mal

I picked up a pair last week and they break in fairly quickly. In fact on my second break-in gym session I was able to summon the power of Tommy Caldwell himself and sent my first 5.12b.
I do believe they stretch a little length wise. My right foot is slightly larger than my left and they were pretty snug when I started but they are substantially more comfortable now.

I love everything about mine but the heel, it pinches the Achilles after 3-4 pitches.

Now I can wear them for hours without a problem whereas before I could only wear them for less than an hour before my Achilles was killing me.

on heel pinch, after wearing the shoe a bit, I've take my finger and put it between my heel and the shoe and pulled back to stretch out that part behind the Achilles. could maybe even wedge something where I put my finger to help stretch that part out, then take it out for normal wear. Seemed to work for me, YMMV.

Dope. Thanks for getting back guys. Main concern was more than a .25/.5 size pack out. Sounds like it will be in that range.

what is this term "pack out"? Never heard of it before....but maybe you're bringing in a snowboarding term for insulated boots?
1/2 size STRETCH.

In my experience (on second pair), the amount of stretch depends on how tight you size them. I sized my first pair way too big and they got a little mushy. My second pair I sized pretty similar to what you’re describing and they became fairly similar to the first pair in comfort but WAY better performing after the break in.

1/2 size STRETCH. Nope. Tc pros have enough padding that the break in period is just as much about packing that out as it is stretching the upper. Anywhere from ~2/3 -1.5 sizes or more of comfort can be gained in my experience depending on how tight the initial fit is. My street shoe size is ~41.5 and I wear a 38.5 tight (although boostics have largely replaced this shoe for me), 39 all day in TC pros.

1/2 size STRETCH. Yea. Essentially what I was doing but figured the effect is the same and people would understand.

I found they were terrible to break in but once the break in period is over they are awesome all day shoes.
