My wife and I are looking for other families in the denver metro area, that would like to get out and climb. We have a 4 year old and a few week old and it would be nice to have others that know the challenges and the little ones can keep each other distracted playing. We already get out every weekend and if anybody is interested let me know. We know pretty good areas for littles ones to play and be safe.

We have an almost two year old and a six month old. I’d love to get out some on some weekends. I’m a stay at home dad, so can do weekdays as well.

Perfect, Where do you usually climb at?

New parent here.  Our daughter turns 6m in June.  We're definitely looking at getting back out more (especially with other parents to share the child watching load).  Mostly available on weekends (though I have availability on Friday afternoons and my wife is a teacher with the summer off).  Climb pretty much anywhere in the front range (at least we used to) from Shelf to Estes, trad/sport/boulder.

We have a 4 year old. We can climb most of the weekends, maybe squeeze an after work session here and there during the week. PM me if interested to meet up. I try to stay away from easily accessible sport areas, also loose areas around this time of year. Best luck I had climbing with little one was trad at the less frequented crags around Boulder.

Excited to meet some other climbing families, do any of you want to make plans for this weekend? My wife finally got to climb again today in eldo and did good. So I think she’s itching to get out some more!

The two best places I have taken my daughter to when she was tiny were Red Rocks Open Space, Ripple Wall in Colorado Springs and Pinecone Dome in Elevenmile Canyon. Both are easy to walk to, no huge fall hazards, and depending on the time of day you'll have shade. In fact, both have aspen groves at the base of the routes.

Not a parent but I feel East Colfax in CCC is widely known as a good kiddo crag. Very easy approach and great shade

Thanks guys not looking for walls, looking for groups. We climb outside 3 times a week and it would  not be as boring for little dude if he had a companion.

Hey Scott we connected on FB a while ago still down to do this. Our family (5 and 3) will be getting out this summer a bunch we hope.  5 yo daughter has been climbing since she was 2 1/2 and been outside a fair bit, the 3 yo is just now showing interest so high hopes for this summer.  We tend to be anywhere between Golden and Boulder when we get out as a family.

I’ve only taken the kids out for bouldering in Eldo , BoCan and Flagstaff Mtn. Would love to get out more.
