I'm pretty sure they closed that area to dispersed camping a couple years ago.

Was there a few weeks ago and there is signage indicating no camping allowed anywhere along the Onion Creek Road.

Onion Creek isn't central to Big Bend and Wall Street. You'd be better off at Willow Springs for that.
