Eldo - Redgarden Wall Trail Closure - Dawn -> 8am - 4/24/19

Greetings:

In order to inspect and possibly mitigate a loose rock above the trail, the Redgarden Wall trail will be closed early tomorrow morning, April 24 2019. The trail should reopen by 0800.

While the trail is closed, I'll also take a look and possibly fell the dead ponderosa near the start of Vertigo. It's a cool tree, but Pinus ponderosa tends to rot pretty fast from the inside out once dead.

Thank's Mike!  I appreciate the amount of work you do for the park and for your fellow climbers.

Hey! You'll see the impacts next time you hike the Redgarden wall trail. There was a very loose rock and an ant-infested dead tree that would have really ruined somebody's day - they landed right on the trail. Everything went really smoothly, and the trail was reopened by 7am.

Big big thanks to Japhy from CMS, Nick and Naomi from ACE, and Tim and Wade.

Ya, I'm super lucky - For the price of sending some e-mails and posing hard, I get to watch Eldo volunteers kick ass and take names. Give your ACE board member, CMS guide, or trail volunteer a big hug next time you see them.

Thanks guys/gals...I actually whined about this block on MP last year after yarding on it and having it move...missed the big white X because I am stupid.

When I did the Yellow Spur I was shocked to see some of the time bombs that should be knocked down.
