From the same website JNE just referenced:

“To set the record straight, there is no evidence to support the Alkaline Diet. According to research, the foods you eat have very little effect on the pH of your blood.“

Why do you believe that?

oops wrong stupid thread
All my left-wing Tv news channels are being obstructed. They are disrupted and switch to Faux after a minute or two, it has gone on all night.
If I take the tin-foil out of my North Face Beanie,
I think it is a trumpian conspiracy.
No obstruction? No collusion? It might be an alkaline response to the acerbic pussy grabber & thief
or
just the result of having been unwittingly dosed at the Dead & Co show last October.                                                                                                                                                     It was Scary garbage Heavy trip for an old man ~ modern club "Acid" or "Molly" a bad mix of MDMA
I know because, from experience, it wasn't LiKwid vitamin A; old school LSD .

Oh, mierda,
publiqué esto en el hilo estúpido incorrecto,
estaba destinado a ir en el otro hilo estúpido "Dejemos de usar la palabra del argot para el mosquetón" hilo

Translation:
Oh, shit,
I posted this on the wrong stupid thread, It was meant to go on the other stupid thread "Let's stop using the slang word for carabiner" thread

There is very little evidence that you respond to the facts presented in this thread.

TL/DR: no one disputes that the blood stays at about 7.365 pH.  It is the extra acidic load a diet rich in red meat and grains puts on all the buffering systems your body uses to regulate your bloods pH which the alkaline diet addresses.  Statements like the one above quoted by Ted are made by ignorant people only.

Lastly, phytoestrogens are bad, mkay.

Mark, I know this will involve some reading and comprehension, so I will proceed with caution..........but from an article posted on page one from an at the time self-declared detractor (maybe he was trolling?), which details the specific mechanism the kidneys use to buffer the bloods pH:

Other dietary constituents result in the generation of alkali. For example, when organic anions are metabolized to CO2 and H2O, H+ is consumed (i.e., HCO3− is produced). From a dietary perspective, fruits and vegetables result in the generation of alkali, whereas meat, grains, and dairy products generate acid. In addition, the diet may contain various acids and alkalis that, when absorbed via the gastrointestinal tract, contribute to the net acid/alkali load to the body. Finally, each day, HCO3− is lost in the feces and thus imparts an acid load to the body. In a healthy individual consuming a “typical Western diet,” there is a net addition of acid to the body. This acid, referred to as net endogenous acid production (NEAP), results in an equivalent loss of HCO3−, which must then be replaced. Importantly, the kidneys excrete acid and, in the process, generate HCO3−. Thus, the systemic acid-base balance is maintained when renal net acid excretion (RNAE) equals NEAP. RNAE excretion can be quantitated by measuring the excretion of NH4+, titratable acid (TA), and HCO3− (note that the excretion of H+ is ignored, since even at a urine pH of 4.0, the concentration of H+ = 0.1 meq/l) :

That is ironic.  All I have done in this thread is not stroke your guys oversized egos.  You are the ones telling everyone that the conventional science is 'junk', and being rude in the process.

Like I was sayin' I'm too old for that sort of fun

We used to get a white bottle of supplemental "K" to help with long days in the NM/Arrz desert, it was called something like "Super K"(I don't remember?) LiKwid Potassium

You have literally presented zero facts in this thread.

Psuedo science goes great with my non alcoholic pH balanced kale martini.
2 years ago I decided to have a look at all the fancy and not so fancy water out there and spent a bit of money trying some of the fancier stuff I could find, there was a direct correlation between it's pH and how good it tastes, acidic water tasted pretty gross (nestle was disgusting) while more alkaline water was pretty tasty.
Just some water thoughts.
