Hello Allison, welcome to Tucson!  I moved here 2 years ago and I get out to Mt. Lemmon on the regular (I was up there today actually climbing around Windy Point).  I work odd hours as a surgery resident and end up doing a lot of rope solo climbing (which limits my ability to push the grades).  What is your general availability?  Ever free on weekdays?

I am visiting from Boulder til the end of March. I know Mt Lemmon fairly well.
Brought down only personal gear but have guidebook. Pix on my Mt project page.

If we can get a small group together I can make the drive from Phoenix to climb. I have my one year old daughter with me most days.

Anyone want to climb on Lemmon this weekend?  I propose Boot Hill, maybe hit Dragon Tower while we're in the area

So far we have a group of 3 for climbing on Sunday 3/24.  The group so far is Lin Murphy, John MacLean, and me.  We are meeting at the Gordon Hirabayashi (aka Prison Camp) parking lot (the one in the back by the horse stable fence things) at 8:30am.  If anyone else wants to join, post!

I would love to go. My one year old goes everywhere with me. Would this be ok with the group before I go any further? Hope to hear from you soon! 7177563469

No problem with the baby as long as I don’t have to change any diapers look forward to meeting you

Can the 1 year old belay? Lol.  If you haven't been to Boot Hill yet, it's about a 30 minute uphill slog, so you'll certainly get a good thigh workout schlepping him up there.

While not the best at belaying yet, she’s the best motivator at the crag. And we team belay most times so I can be useful st least. We will be heading down tomorrow night to camp as close to the trailhead as possible. I’m not sure where that will be but we will make it work. Excited to get out and meet you all!

There is camping right there at Gordon Hirabayashi if you want to be super close.  It's not the most scenic campsite, so if you want a really beautiful spot I would recommend General Hitchcock campground a few miles up the road.

Are they the same price? I’m probably gonna land at night so I don’t care. I prefer free but I know how the highway can be with that

I was checking out the campsites earlier today, very slim chance molino basin or hirabayashi would have an opening tomorrow night, hitchcock c.g. is surprisingly open already was about half full but would be a little chilly  at night due to altitude the walmart on speedway blvd is OK for car camping. all campgrounds are $10/night

see You guys there! is someone bringing a rack?
Also if anyone wants to camp feel free to direct message. I’d love to share a spot if it works out.
