Is there a shuttle to big sandy trailhead? That seems hard to believe. |

Seems to be run by Great Outdoor Shop, Pinedale's backpacking/climbing/fishing shop. I knew they were doing trailhead shuttles for hikers, but they seem to have expanded. |

That’s cool. I think Jackson is the closest airport? You could also call the shuttle company for recommendations. |

Oh dang. Just looked at shuttle prices. When are you planning to go? I’m a dirtbag van guy who might be up for a little extra $$ |

Man the winds seem like a tough place to get to without some kind of vehicle. Jackson airport is really pricey as far as I know, and those shuttle rates look pretty steep as well. I applaud your efforts though and hope you get to enjoy the winds, it is an incredible place |

Hitchhiking works pretty well in Wyoming... Just don't listen to this podcast: |

Rock springs airport isnt too far away. |

mark felber wrote: https://gotcoshuttle.com The Great Outdoor Shop does not own the shuttle company. But GotCo Shuttles (different company) does a number of shuttles to the different trailheads. Hitch-hiking between Jackson and Pinedale would be tough... There used to be a shuttle that ran from Jackson to Pinedale for work commuters. A bit of Googling will show you if that's still a thing. |

Salt Lake might be the closest big airport. Not sure about your access from there. Lots of people in this area head to the Winds depending on when you are planning. |

SLC is slightly feather than Jackson but is way cheaper, probably the move is to either hitchhike or meet up with some climbers. Not sure about the Shuttle but sounds promising |

Wind River Shuttle is run outta the Lander side. I can vouch for that guy. |
