Climbed this whopper for a Samsung commercial with Stunt Coordinator Pete Turner. The Stag Tree in Sequoia NF 247 feet tall. First branch was 80' up. Bark was so soft unclimbable.  Use other Techniques to get up it. According to Wikipedia it’s the fifth tallest tree in the world the view from the top was amazing camped overnight on top.

You try it.  Instead of asking if you should try it.

Millennials rule #1 is always ask on the internet first. Rule #1 also includes how it will fit into Instagram.

I was in the same predicament as you when I started climbing trees. I loved rock climbing but the idea of climbing a tree didn't really appeal to me. But then again, I had nothing better to climb so I gave it a shot. At first I was really interested in face climbing the tree bark but as I learned arborist techniques I found that it could be quite fun climbing ropes because you can build rope swings and it is a mental challenge figuring out how to advance your tie-in point. I have found that some aspects of tree climbing can be insanely frustrating but spending the night in a canopy is a million times better then sleeping on the ground.

Touché.

And I’m not a millennial. Unfortunately I’m out of that age range already. Although I still feel like I’m 28!!

Treefool!  We have to meet up!  Are you guys piss drunk that entire video?  I would have assumed that you each consumed at least a 5th of something by the time you get to the site. And then continue to drink from there on in. That was insane!!

Re. That  video.    What in the freaking world was that. Proves that we've reached the point of utter uselessness of videos posted to the internet. Kill me now please.

Haha. Nope. Just two wierd guys going on an adventure. I originally created TREEfool so that I could meet friends to go on adventures with. If you travel to SD just let me know and we will go climbing!
