I've enjoyed hiking at Pinnacles NP far more than I've enjoyed climbing there.
Is there a range to your search Bennett?

Leavenworth, and Missoula. Neither are exactly destination for sport climbing, but fit the bill otherwise.

Red river gorge, Kentuckey. Excellent sport climbing and gorgeous hiking. (Pun intended)

New River Gorge.

Also, trad, not sport, but obvious shout out to the Gunks.  I hiked there for over a decade before climbing for the first time.

The Black Hills has great sport climbing at Spearfish Canyon and Needles of Rushmore. Great for a family vacation. You've got Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park right there and Devil's Tower and the Badlands kinda nearby. Black Elk Peak is the highest point east of the Rockies and a really cool hike.

Just a semi-friendly reminder for people making posts like these so you get useful information and respondents aren't just wasting their time.

1) You've posted in General Climbing.  What part of the world are you interested in?   California?  France?  Asia?
2) What time of year are you interested in?   Are we talking winter?  Summer?  It makes a huge difference.
3) You want family friendly and good hiking.  What does that mean to you?   How old are your kids?  Or are we talking grand-parents?   Both?  Is altitude an issue?  How about elevation gain?

Unfortunately, I probably just wasted my time.

Ten Sleep fits the bill. Endless sport climbing and the Cloud Peak Wilderness is a 20-30 minute drive with tons of beautiful hikes.

You might want to clarify your parameters though... Season, Region, etc. You could surely find dozens of areas that fit this criteria.

I second Jarren's recommendation for Castle Rock/City of Rocks in Idaho. (There's great trad climbing as well.) There is also a horseback riding tour at Castle Rocks that looks like it might be fun. My kid wants to go on the tour this year. I will say that Castle Rock is easier to navigate than the City (I get so lost at the City.) and generally has fewer people.

All the crags around the Banff and Canmore areas. The hiking trails guide for the area is five volumes.

Define "place".

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
