Y’all felt it was necessary to resurrect a dead 4 yr old thread of such vital importance?

So what underwear am I wearing? A clean pair.

If I were smart enough to create a poll, I would really want to know how many dudes wear underwear that does not have a fly.  I thought it was the weirdest thing when I first saw men's no-fly underwear over a decade ago and now it has become quite common. Makes no sense to me especially when wearing a harness. But, I have since learned that lots of my male partners have no use for a fly.

And they say that men don't talk about their feelings...

I don't think I have worn underwear with a fly for at least two years, its a nice thing to have for a harness but it's still easy to do your business in flyless underwear.

Follow up question, when dudes who feel a fly is unnecessary wear underwear WITH a fly, do you still do you business by reaching up and yanking down, or give in and use the incredibly bulky, techy, fly thing?

I am kind of waiting for dead bird to eliminate fly zippers from all the men's shell pants, you know, perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to remove...Maybe just make 'em baggy and go with a draw string.

a fly only creates opportunities for "entanglement"

this is exacerbated by the contortions of climbing.

especially when wearing a harness.

This is a timely conversation. The proliferation of boxer briefs with a cock pouch is opening a whole new world of gratuitous consumption.

Thus far the Stance with the special fabric are working very well for me.

Saxx merino are also very nice, although I was surprised that they didn’t immediately supplant the stance at the top of my list.

Generally yes, unless I'm wearing a harness it's easy to pull down the front.

If you have a zippered trouser fly do you pee through that or do you unfasten the top button?

Also whenever I pee wearing a harness I use the fly so I don't have to loosen my harness.

Another vote for Saxx. I can now send 2 grades harder because my scroat doesn’t stick to my leg.

One of the many reasons a fly seems very desirable. Don't get me started on climbing shorts without flys, or worse yet, the Prana shorts with the fake fly (looks like a fly but no opening or zipper) - frabricated for looks only.

Finally, a gear thread just behind one about the meaning of life for significance

climbing friend,

but how oh how can you flash so hard without $80 prana pant? is it even possible??!?!? and who in the gym would enjoy looking upon you without them?!? they are so repulsed by your dirt old baggy ripped jean, that they cannot even see your sculpted arm cannon, chiseled abs, flow so reel so deep etc.
