Anyone who has truly “gone for it” has been in your shoes, but posting it online where land managers can see it is where you depart from the tradition.

Go out there, do stupid stuff, have an epic, it’s all good. Post about violating the rules and you bring the heat down on all of us. You are no different than Cedar when he sold us all out about camping in the boulders. Everybody knew it was going on, but don’t put it in print so the Tool has proof.

I honestly don’t care what you do in the wilderness, but you brought that back to town and put it in everyone’s face. Why?

I’m not looking to draw attention to myself, there is no gain in that.
It is of no benefit to the corporation I represent to say anything in this matter, they are not political like Patagonia.
