Twin Cities Ice Partner

Hey all. Been climbing for 5+ years, trying to stay active outside and get more into ice this winter. Have my own tools/boots/crampons, but no dry-treated rope, screws, or lead experience. Have climbed roughly 20 pitches on TR at Ouray and elsewhere in CO. Reply if you're interested in trying to get out semi-regularly this winter.

Safe and reliable belayer, WFR, great rope skills. Just psyched to get out!

Hey Matt, I just sent you a PM.  

Matt—I can do Sandstone or Duluth area on weekends after the 1st.  PM me if interested.  I have a dry treated rope and basic gear—just no ice screws.  You can set a top rope at those areas though without the need for ice screws to get up to setting it.

I’m close to the Cities and free Thursday and a Friday the 27th and 28th, and possibly part of Sunday as well. Have rope, screws, axes, crampons, etc, no lead experience on ice, hoping to get out and TR or follow something. PM me or text at 608.239.1230.

I'll be in the Cities 12/30 -1/7, flexible schedule.  Total newbie steep ice, but 8 years in the Cascades doing alpine/trad/sport/some glacier climbing.  I've got 5 screws and a 70m dry rope, plus my own tools, crampons, etc.  Former WEMT and mountain rescue.  I'd be phyced to toprope anything.

I'd like to climb Sunday the 30th if anyone wants to swap belays. Late morning to mid-afternoon or so.

I have a little bit of a drive to get there, but I’d be interested in going to Sandstone tomorrow.  I have line (dry treated), and necessary gear.
