Retiring shoes - Five Ten Newtons - Help

I've been wearing 5.10 Newtons for.... 18 years. How? I bought 6 pairs after I found that I loved them in 2000/2001, and didn't climb too much crack.... and resoled them all more than once.. they are all beat to absolute death.... and I've essentially only climbed in them for almost 2 decades. Can anyone help me with the shoe that would likely be the most similar to those. Its a sad day... but no options left with my old harem... Prior to that I wore mocasyms for several years… not interested in them. Thanks, Wes.

Anasazi guide looks like basically the same shoe.

I have a barely used pair I'd sell you. Size US 10.5.

I can relate. I wore one pair of Newton's out and then accidentally left the almost new replacements on a dome in Tuolumne after switching back to my approach shoes.

The newtons were the perfect complement to the red T-rocks I had back then (another shoe I wish they didn't change, then discontinue).

Anasazi Verdes adequately replaced the T-rocks, and now I'm using Anasazi Pinks (don't like them as much as the Verdes, but they're working out OK).

The Anasazi guide appears to be just the original Hueco, with a new name. I had those and they were quite different than the Newton. Specifically the Hueco's are softer and I believe real leather so they stretch.

I would be stoked if they brought back the Newton. Especially since I have not found another brand that fits my feet like 5.10

Wes I feel your pain.  I went to the Anasazi guide (most definitely not the same shoe) and it’s OK but nothing like the Newton.  I’m surprised there isn’t any new-old stock available still. Alas.

I feel the same way about the Galileos.  Maybe check out these guys... it's a bunch of Ex 5.10 factory guys making shoes.  Website and marketing are terrible though.  If you email them asking about the shoes they'll likely offer up a 40% off deal.   unparallelsports.com/produc…

I’ll check it out. Thank you.

If the carcass of the shoe is still intact, yosemitebum will put in a new midsole.  I plan to do that with a few of my galileo's,  I've got 5 pair of them.  I've still got one at 50% and one new in the box.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
