Looking for an old rope you've got retired but just haven't given away yet. I'm definitely cool to pay shipping if you're willing to box it up for me.

Do you have the option of asking your local gym if they have any retired ropes they'd be willing to give/sell to you?

Unless you need said rope to be 60m...

Sadly here in Richmond the local gyms all won't let me take their old ropes.  They are worried about liability if I climb on them so they destroy their retired ropes.

Still need one?

Parker has first dibs (his thread) but I do need one if its still worthy to risk one's neck on (but not necessarily use as a lead cord).

I have a roughly 40m section if you want it.

Thanks, but I need something at least 60m for fixing on projects.

Thank you though!

Are you insisting that you climb rock?

I've got an older 60 meter Beal 10.5mm Top Gun in decent shape if anyone wants it.
Would be perfect for fixing.
I think it will fit in a Large USPS Flat Rate Box so around $20 for shipping.
PM me if you want it.

Sorry y'all - been totally not paying attention!  Glad somebody got some ropes traded.  Especially something good for still climbing on.  I'm still always looking for retired ropes of any lengths.  I'll be around more this week, but I'm headed to the New this weekend...So off grid again soon.

Dom - sent you a PM btw.

ask them when they throw them away. if you fish it out of the trash they arent liable. thats how we used to do it at my gym. best of luck!

Have a 70 that I nicked with a dropped rock maybe 20 m from the end. Fine for toproping just not sure I want to whip on that spot. In case anyone is interested.
