Auction ends in 3 hours but the bid is already up to $1250.  I don't even know what to say.  People are nuts.

can't put a price on being able to climb without having to make conversation with a partner

Someone that hates people, and getting bailed on, and when that guy goes up multipitch with you and gets terrified at the 3rd pitch and then tells you he doesn't know how to rappel, and when getting hard catches, you ask the guy if he knows what a soft catch is, he responds with some nonsense. Basically, people don't take climbing seriously and don't do their own research. Leaves people desperate to just get on the cliff alone.

Makes me want to start an Uber belay service. Soft catches are extra.

Hey...I'll let mine go for $1000 (cash, via certified mail)

In a large climbing area like Denver, that could actually work.

We will have to be careful to not flood the market.

Seriously? Ha ha ha. They don't even work any better than a Gri Gri. Just use a friggin' Gri Gri with backup knots and be done with it.

Just wait till you get a catch on the SP! Still, I've got one with your name on it Paul for only $1200. Locking biners included.

Now I really regret not buying a soloist a few years ago when they would go for $50 or $60 on here.

Also regret not waiting to sell the silent partner that I picked up last year for ~50% off retail at the local gear shop. I ended up selling it for retail like 2 days later.

I''d be the one trying to come up with excuses to myself lol! I bet a YouTube video of someone trying to angrily correct their soloist device would go viral. It's probably already been done.
