Move to California or Colorado?

Nice part about my job is I have to fly out to CA on my company's check a few times a year. Get to visit but don't have to live in that nightmare. After spending 2 weeks working there I am borderline suicide with dealing with the traffic etc.

I would possibly agree with FL if it weren't for Kansas.  It's really a toss up.

This California vs. Colorado feud is getting serious. Reminds me of these two gangs fighting it out:

Just wanted to highlight this bit of introspective gold from Phil, which explains the vast majority of 'where should I move' thread posts.

Its funny-- my impression has been that, in the vast majority of these posts, people harp on the negative aspects of where they live, while taking all the positive aspects for granted. I think that its that warped/pessimistic/un-nuanced view that makes me want to speak up.

I don't feel like I've created some sort of revisionist history of my life to defend the choices I've made. I've travelled/lived/climbed in enough places around the world to understand whats good and bad about living in the bay area, and have the ability to leave if it makes sense for my family.

Innsbruck! People here complain about the drive to Zillertal, or Oetztal, which are both < 1 hour away. And that's just granite an hour away. There's a bit more than that...

Lol yeah. Dont forget the human turds that are somehow (far) more plentiful than the dog turds. And the smug young tech workers.

I was going to make a smug, tasteless joke about the Sound of Music and fleeing Nazis, but I realize Austria is much safer from Nazis currently than most of the USA.

Don't worry, they aren't doing that great over here either.

You can't casually say something like this and it is  so easy to drop the Nazi or racist name calling. Calling someone a Nazi or racists is a SERIOUS accusation that has serious consequences. So please tell, who you are implying is such? Where are you seeing this?

Oh Jesus, you couldn't of just let this go?  Now the thread is going to drift into "DRUMPF" land with 20 pages of MP's virtue signalers turning this into a political thread.

The two of you need to get a grip.

He still uses “gay” as a derogatory term. Probably wouldn’t work out.

Wait do words hurt or not? I was just told that they don't...Or do they only matter when its convenient for your narrative?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
