Looks like about half an inch fell last night, but mostly dry today. Do you think Devil's lake would still be good to climb today? Thinking about heading up for a day trip from Chicago...

The only place that you can’t climb is the Sandstone crags at the lake. Please stay off the sandstone until it properly drys out.

As for the Quartzite, you can also climb in the rain.  Good training day...

Not that you're wrong jugs but what's with the wet Sandstone zealotry lately? Your favorite hold break?

Maybe that sweet, sweet undercling on on Dancing Madly is no longer, Or maybe it’s still there but will break off tomorrow because it’s soaking wet right now and someone yarded on it without knowing better...  this topic needs to be preached across the country every year as there are so many new climbers out there that maybe just don’t have the knowledge yet.  That’s all.

Are you saying you broke the undercling on Dancing and are now making amends?!

No sir, I know better, WI isn’t the desert, it doesn’t dry in just a few hours. But nice try ;)

The third person singular form of 'dry' is 'dries'. Same rule applies to lots of other verbs (and plurals of nouns too): 'flies', 'tries', 'cries', etc.). 'Drys' is a colloquialism for proponents of the prohibition.

Drys fast ... is fasting also a part of prohibition?

Dylan, I think we are being bullied. Can we press charges?

By admins, no less!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
