Hey I'm 13 and am looking for my first harness. I'm 6 foot and about 140 lbs. First off, what are your suggestions. Second, anyone have some for sale?

Go to a store like REI or local equivalent and try on a bunch (most stores will let you hang in the harness). Lots of people start in a BD Momentum. They are cheap and will get the job done. I just upgraded to a BD Solution for gym/sport climbing and really love the weight, comfort, and simplicity. You can find the former on sale for $35 and the latter on sale for around $55.

I have a never worn BD Momentum size medium if you decide to go that direction, but I wouldn’t buy your first harness without trying one on.

I have the Solution and Momentum in Medium, and find the fit identical at the waist. Solution is a bit tight on larger thighs during break-in, but shouldn't cause you any trouble. Haul loop on Solution sucks, but everything else about it is awesome. Either harness will be just fine for a new climber.
