I was traveling through Vegas for work and the heat drove me inside to desert Rock Sports. Inside I found a little product called Hangdogs which are basically little shock cord keepers that go around your ankles for taking your shoes off at belays. They were nothing special and I could easily make them myself, but cool none the less.
It got me thinking, what are your favorite locally made bits of gear? The simpler, higher quality, and inventive the better. Made in a garage?? Awesome.
Everything is fair game. From well known items like melanzana fleeces to crown Royal chalk bags.

Gnarcissist sunglasses. Nothing super special, but they’re cheap polarized sunglasses made locally in western North Carolina. They’re only $20 a pair, great for people like me who frequently lose sunglasses. Lots of my climbing and paddling friends really love them

Asana crash pads, made in Boise. The highball (next to the largest) size fit my Honda so we'll, I stopped out by Asana to show it off! Pics credit: the owner! :-)
Best, OLH

Free range equipment makes awesome packs. They're on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

Vermont: Tapped maple syrup in a pouch. You laugh, but it saves people from hypoglycemia.
