Hey MN climbing crew. Going to be on the North Shore June 30th-July 3rd. If anyone is interested in getting out with some California climbers it would be much appreciated. Been climbing for almost 20 years and always appreciate checking out new areas with the locals. Thanks and safe climbing this summer.

He Jered, I'll be at either Palisade Head or Shovel point those days as well. The place will be PACKED with climbers, and a rope will probably be set up on every starred climb there.  You won't really need to hook up with anybody, just ask if you can use a rope if nobody is using it, and more often than not you will get a yes. If you want to lead a route, I set an anchor first to rap the route, and then lead on another rope, that way nobody will throw a rope down on you accidentally.

If you can climb 5.12, there will probably be more opportunities to climb, since every climb easier than .11a will have a rope on it.

I will actually be setting ropes for a group I climb with that has a fair number of gumbies, but all in the 5.8-5.10a/b range.

Hope to see you there.

PS  For the full North Shore experience, do Superior Crack AS AN OFFWIDTH. Don't let those face hold lure you out...

Thanks Buck that’s good to know. Sounds like we should just bring a harness, and shoes and sneak in for a couple routes. Thanks for the beta.

I would concentrate on Palisade Head, there are a lot more climbs, and they are 50 yards from the parking lot. MP has all of the climbs uploaded, so just pick a few and show up

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
